After researching books that were published in the early 1900’s to find historically correct fonts I created a type treatment that reflects modern standards of readability and form.
I created the illustrations with marker on acetate for an antiqued cartoon look.
WT VInters is a boutique Washington wine company that wanted a label to stand out from other brands while informing serious wine aficionado about the vintage.
WT Vintners wine label and logomark represent their "old world no tricks" approach to wine making. I took cues from the multi colored illustration and chose an Art Nouveau look for the brand. Based upon the success of the inaugural vintage release we worked to create a logo for the larger WT Vintners brand. The WTV seal serves as a master brand logo, that can be applied to new label designs as the brand grows.
At first glance the WTV website is very simple, the complexity lies within the SEO keywords stitched into the websites inner workings. After researching viable keywords, close attention was paid to insert them into headings, image tags, and navigation to raise SEO ranking.
